Don’t know much about [ObWi] history…

by liberal japonicus

Archive work continues apace, and questions arise. Specifically, one of the founders, along with Moe Lane and von, was a Katherine R, however, it seems that second Katherine later started blogging. Some internal information point to two different Katherines, but I’m not really positive. The first Katherine [R] spent a good bit of blogging about Maher Arar while, if there are two Katherines, the later Katherine blogged extensively about Guantanamo. If anyone has any insights, let me know, either in the comments or to libjpn@gmail.com. I have some speculation, but I don’t want to put anyone’s name in the open.

For those curious, here is what I’m doing:

  • Checking to make sure authors are correctly tagged to their posts (so that you can click a link and read one person’s posts)
  • Figuring out how to correct the blog internal links, which now connect to typepad links that will disappear in 8 days
  • Trying to figure out how to deal with post formatting, the transfer dumps them as a single block of text, but WordPress (or this theme) has a block system (named for the head of the person who thought it up) that makes changes difficult.

This is only for posts that I think are important, though this may include the poetry slams and other frivolity.
